Leah Seligman, LCPC, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Leah Seligman is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 14 years of experience providing psychotherapy to a diverse population of clients. She attended Bard College and received her BA in psychology from State University of New York at New Paltz, before obtaining her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University. Leah has considerable experience working in the non-profit sector, providing clinical and programmatic leadership. Along with her work providing counseling to children and parents, she has extensive experience helping adolescents work through issues including building and maintaining positive self-image, appropriately adjusting to emotional, social, and life changes, and forming healthy and positive familial and peer relationships.

Leah’s areas of treatment focus include working with children (13+), adolescents, young adults, and adults on the following:

Personal Statement:
I strongly believe that relationships are the key to positive outcomes in psychotherapy. Whether using cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, or play therapy, building a positive, trusting relationship with clients comes first. That relationship allows me to understand, align with, and guide my clients through achieving their therapeutic goals.
