Divorce Recovery

We understand that going through divorce means experiencing
sadness, self-blame, anxiety, shame, guilt, rage, and a variety of
painful feelings that can feel overwhelming.

Divorce Recovery

Since 1994 The Center for Divorce Recovery, a division of Affiliates in Counseling, has been working with couples and families going through the dissolution of their marriage. We recognize that people going through divorce experience sadness, self-blame, anxiety, shame, guilt, rage and a variety of other painful feelings that at times feel overwhelming. Our goal is not to help clients simply suppress or distract themselves from their pain, but to help them work through these feelings so they can feel more free, more whole and more in control of their lives.

We are particularly attuned to not only the effects of divorce on children, but also their unique needs as they go through this difficult ordeal. In addition to working with conflictual family systems, we work individually with the children to help them develop goals that foster resilience and healthy self-esteem.

We are dedicated to assisting all members of the family in recovering from the trauma of divorce as they move from coping and surviving to more satisfying and fulfilling lives.
