Lauren Rapp, LSW, Licensed Social Worker
Lauren Rapp, a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and clinical therapist, offers personalized therapy services to adults both virtually and in-person at the Northbrook office. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University. During her studies, she focused heavily on trauma, systemic change, and the perinatal population.
With a focus on childhood development and attachment, Lauren is dedicated to helping clients navigate the lasting effects of childhood trauma, attachment injuries, and generational wounds. Through a client-centered approach focused on empowerment and choice, she collaborates with individuals to process past experiences and address present struggles, fostering self-awareness and self-worth. Lauren has a particular passion for supporting the perinatal community facing complex trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. Recognizing the emotional complexities and societal pressures surrounding fertility, pregnancy, birth, and parenting, Lauren aims to create a space that insights bravery, relieving the stigma and shame often associated with these challenges.
Guided by attachment theory, somatic principles, narrative therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Lauren’s therapeutic approach facilitates deep mind-body processing, story-telling, and inner-child work. She aims to create a nurturing environment where clients feel seen, heard, and validated. She also utilizes creative methods such as art, writing, and sandtray to promote healing. Regardless of the treatment modalities used, the most important intervention is the therapeutic relationship itself. With Lauren, you will feel safe and secure, as she embraces you with her warm and compassionate manner.
Lauren is an in network provider with Blue Cross & Blue Shield PPO.
