Dan is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, and an MBA from the Quinlan School of Business: Loyola University Chicago. Dan’s clinical experience includes working in a hospital trauma center, a not-for-profit agency and in private practice.

Dan provides individual, couple’s and group therapy with adults and adolescents.  “I work with adults of all ages who may be experiencing difficulty in their relationships, with families and/or careers.” Life stresses such as parenting, marital relations, career transitions, job relocation, retirement, financial struggles, self-worth, etc. can be barriers to progress or an opportunity to re-direct ourselves into more fulfilling directions.

Dan has worked with adolescent depression, anxiety, self-harm, self-esteem, anger, parent communications, etc. Working with families and teens to balance the need for safety with development of good judgment and preparation for freedom; all in a fluid environment is central to our therapeutic work.

Personal Statement

My personal philosophy is to meet people where they are, accepting them and giving them a place to be heard, understood, and respected. I am not out to fix nor judge; to shame or place blame, but rather to help people to find their own paths to the quality of life they choose as their own.

Dan employs CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness techniques, Gottman couples’ therapy, and is certified in Domestic Violence Counseling.
