About Me
About Me
I believe that meaningful healing happens through the relationship between therapist and client.
My goal is to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe enough to be yourself, supported
enough to take risks, and empowered to grow. Therapy should be a place where you can explore
difficult experiences, be challenged with compassion, and discover new ways of understanding
yourself and your relationships.
Because every person comes to therapy with a unique story, values, and goals, I tailor my
approach to meet your individual needs. My work is grounded in Feminist Relational Theory and
informed by abolitionist principles, with an emphasis on collaboration, authenticity, and social
justice.
I believe every client already possesses resilience, wisdom, and strengths—even when they may
be difficult to recognize. Together, we’ll build on those strengths through curiosity,
collaboration, and meaningful reflection. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, direct, and
approachable. I believe therapy can hold both deep emotional work and moments of laughter, so
don’t be surprised if humor or an occasional pop culture reference finds its way into our
conversations.
My clinical passion is working alongside members of marginalized communities, political
activists, and people navigating systems of oppression. Throughout my career, I have been
deeply committed to supporting LGBTQI2SA+ individuals, relationships, and communities
through both clinical practice and advocacy. I especially enjoy working with transgender and
gender-diverse clients and am dedicated to reducing barriers to affirming, accessible care as
people explore and celebrate their identities.
For the past decade, I was the founder and owner of Relational Psychology Group, a queer-
owned and affirming private practice serving the Andersonville and Skokie communities. Our
mission was to make high-quality, affirming mental health care more visible, accessible, and
responsive to the needs of LGBTQI2SA+ communities. I am excited to bring that same
commitment, passion, and collaborative spirit to AIC, and to continue supporting clients in
building lives that feel authentic, connected, and meaningful.
