About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in practice for over ten years. My experience encompasses clinical training from Northwestern University’s The Family Institute and a variety of settings including a residential group home, inpatient hospital, therapeutic day school, and school avoidance treatment program. I utilize a warm and relatable approach, and sessions include tangible strategies, supportive processing and conversation, movement and mindfulness.

As someone who began my own therapy journey as a therapy-resistant teen, I believe that trusting, down-to-earth, and relatable relationships with my clients are incredibly important for instilling growth. It is through personal experience and innate passion for changing the narrative around mental health that I have fostered a strength to understand, connect with and treat young people who are struggling. I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families in order to provide a therapeutic environment that is safe, comfortable and understanding.

I am trained in psychodynamic therapy and always working from a Relational Therapy and Trauma-Informed lens. I pull from a variety of approaches in my work with clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Sydtems (IFS). I love getting to know my client’s unique strengths and hobbies/skills so that we incorporate those into the therapy room, and I also like to incorporate my own interests of exercise/movement, art, and holistic wellness..
