My vision is to offer integrative, strength-based approaches to help clients develop their own authentic voices and pursue their unique paths to individual fulfillment. Professionally and personally, I am deeply devoted to the empowerment of disenfranchised groups and highly attuned to the issues facing minority communities, those with intersecting minority identities, and other victims of discrimination in our society. I also have an enduring commitment to creating a safe space for LGBTQ+ folks within which they can prioritize their mental health needs/goals.

Interpersonally, I would describe myself as collaborative, empathic, genuine, present and engaged during sessions with my clients. I prefer to work with more fluidity, spontaneity, and less structure in sessions (although I can and will utilize more structured interventions when appropriate or desired by the client). I see the therapy relationship as the primary vehicle for the meaningful change clients seek in their lives.

I bring expertise in Body-Mind Psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, Dreamwork, Existential Psychotherapy, Exposure Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Group Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness-based Interventions, Object Relations, Psychodynamic Therapy, Relational and Schema Therapy.

For the last 15 years, I’ve served as the founder and owner of IntraSpectrum Counseling, a group practice in Chicago dedicated to providing safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community and specifically attuned care to mental health needs of this community. I’ve been recognized as an innovator and catalyst by Northwestern University’s Office of Global Marketing and Communications, to mark the 150^th year of coeducation at Northwestern.
