I am a licensed social worker. My background is in individual therapy specifically in
anxiety and depression disorders. I work with individuals who struggle with anxiety and
depressive issues which may affect their day-to-day life. I have completed an intensive
fellowship training in evidence-based treatments (EBTs) which has guided me in the
therapeutic modalities I am currently practicing. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral
Therapy (DBT). I also utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) when working
with anxiety disorders and OCD.

I approach therapy using a person-centered approach where the modality I use
depends entirely depends on the specific needs of my client. Whether it is working
through life transitions, relationships, or anxiety, my approach is unique to the specific
client. I work with clients to help them develop coping skills and a level of comfort and
self-awareness that enables them to address their symptoms more effectively. I help
clients live their life with confidence that is in congruence with their values.

I have worked as a court-mandated therapist at DCFS, where I worked with individuals
helping them through some of the hardest times in their life. I then transitioned into
private practice specializing in treatment for depression and anxiety disorders. These
different experiences have given me a solid foundation of therapeutic skills in my work
with clients.

• Education : I have a Master’s of Social Work degree from the Jane Addams School of Social Work through UIC. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
