Personal Statement
I work collaboratively with my clients to facilitate change and support them as they strive toward
achieving their desired goals. My approach is warm, welcoming, supportive, while also direct and
interactive. My goal is to create an environment that allows clients the ability to process through their
inner thoughts and feelings, and to arrive at a place where they feel empowered to successfully manage
their lives. I strive to help clients recognize and build upon their strengths, as well as develop insight and
awareness into the thoughts and behaviors that may be negatively impacting them, as well as their
relationships. I assist clients in how to learn and implement healthy and appropriate coping skills to better manage their symptoms and stressors, and provide strategies that clients can walk away with and use in their own environment.
Research has confirmed that the therapeutic relationship is essential to successful treatment outcomes,
which is why I am a strong believer in spending the time to connect with my clients and create a trusting
relationship. I am truly grateful when a client allows me the opportunity to play a role in the journey of
their lives.
