Franny Kaulentis, M.Ed, LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor

Franny Kaulentis is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides individual and family therapy both virtually and in the Northbrook office. Franny primarily works with adolescents, young adults, and adults addressing issues such as: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family dysfunction, self-esteem, and self-exploration. Franny also counsels couples and families dealing with issues including parenting, connection, and communication. Franny uses an integrative approach that engages her clients in their own treatment. She uses an empathetic, compassionate, and direct approach that is client centered.

Franny grew up in Wilmette and is a graduate of New Trier High school. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Indiana University and her Master’s of Counseling at National Louis University. Before entering the counseling field, Franny worked as an elementary school teacher in general and special education.

Personal Statement
I know starting this process can be daunting and takes courage. I believe everyone has the ability to change and grow. I am here to support you and take things one step at a time. I strive to create an environment where clients are able to be their authentic selves free of pressure or judgment. Trust, sensitivity, unconditional positive regard, empowerment, and empathy are at the core of my practice so that each client may feel completely safe in their most challenging and vulnerable moments. I help clients learn healthy coping skills, restructure negative thinking, build confidence within themselves and their relationships, and feel empowered and balanced in their lives.
