Personal Statement
I use a client centered, nonjudgmental approach so that clients recognize their own strength and skills, and can work toward improving overall health and wellness, as well as overcome interpersonal stress and hardships. I enjoy working with a diversity of clients, and lead our therapeutic process based on the Client’s and/or Family’s goals for treatment. As such, my sessions are relaxed and informal, grounded in trust and a positive working relationship so that treatment is both individualized and effective. I am known to give Wellness Homework at times! Nothing stressful or time consuming, usually one or two small behavioral goals related to changes a client would like to make or targeted toward improving a problematic relationship dynamic. I’ve noticed Clients that tend to get to know  themselves more fully or make longer term progress are often practicing skills and reflecting on our time in session, outside of session. My approach is warm and direct, and we will collaborate and treatment plan together so that we can celebrate progress, maintain our therapeutic closeness, and continue our focus and attention on your values and personal journey.
