About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in the Chicago area. I provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. I have over a decade of experience working with youth and young men, including as a camp counselor, academic tutor, and leadership mentor for student-athletes at the University of North Carolina. I completed my clinical internship with SGA Youth and Family Services, working with students at Northwest Middle School as a member of the school’s Behavioral Health Team.

My therapy style is client-centered and collaborative — I work closely with each individual to tailor interventions that meet their unique and changing needs. I take a cognitive-behavioral approach to counseling, as I have found that identifying and adapting harmful thought patterns and behaviors — while reinforcing client strengths and coping skills — leads to enhanced wellbeing.

While working through challenging emotions and conflicts is not easy, therapy holds the power to transform lives. It is with this belief that I enter every session with a client. I practice from a strengths-based approach with a focus on developing and nurturing a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and authenticity. To this end, I devote time during initial sessions to build rapport and create a safe environment in which clients feel empowered to explore their inner thoughts and emotions.

Let’s walk together along the path to healing.

Billing under the supervision of Noah Gelfman, LCPC, Marshall is an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO.

I graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Applied Health Science, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
