Beth Sackett, LCSW, CADC, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor
Beth Sackett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor who provides individual therapy for adolescents, young adults, and adults. She also provides therapy for families, couples, and in group settings. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Iowa State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a concentration in mental health.
In addition to working in private practice, Beth has been working as an addictions counselor at Symetria Recovery for the past few years. In this role, she provides individual and group therapy to individuals struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions and other stressors. She also facilitates a SMART Recovery meeting for the community. Beth has prior experience working in a variety of outpatient settings, including hospitals, community mental health agencies and teen clinics.
She often utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Existentialism as well as other creative interventions.

Personal Statement
My approach to developing a therapeutic relationship is genuine, honest, collaborative and non-judgmental. I aim to provide a safe space for my clients to help them feel comfortable exploring the challenges they encounter. I understand that it can be overwhelming to seek therapy and I help my clients learn the tools to communicate their thoughts and feelings and to cope with emotional distress. It is essential that my clients feel understood and supported with whatever they are experiencing. I strongly believe in the power of human connection and empathy, and I am very passionate about helping my clients feel empowered and motivated to live a life that is authentic. I recognize that each client that I work with is unique and deserves treatment that is tailored to meet their own specific needs wherever they are at.
