My approach is to provide a genuine atmosphere of safety and caring in order to help the client and/or parents feel comfortable and know that they are being heard. I believe that trust and a strong therapeutic bond are crucial to being able to work on helping the client, parents, and/or family deal with the difficulties they are faced with and to be open to strategies that might help them heal from the their current and past experiences. It is my goal to become fully engaged in the healing process and to help create positive change in the life of my clients and their families. I use a combination of Self-psychology and Cognitive Behavioral therapy to achieve strong relationships with my clients and to give them concrete strategies for the future.
